A fire police traffic unit for Barren Hill Fire Co., built on a Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD crew cab with a cap over the bed. A traffic truck has a narrower job than a command vehicle: it parks at the top of a closed lane and its whole purpose is to be understood by a driver coming up behind it at speed, in the dark, with an incident ahead. Everything on this build points at that.
The rear does the heavy lifting — a lighted FIRE POLICE sign in the cap glass, an amber bar across the back of the cap, warning worked into the rear bumper, and a red-and-yellow chevron across the tailgate. Forward of that, a cab roof bar, red LEDs across the grille, fender and mirror units, and a full-length strip down the running board so the truck is still seen when it's angled across a lane. A white LED sits in each rear corner step for footing when someone is working the back of the truck at night. Graphics carry the company's red, gold and white with the Maltese cross, unit numbering, Proudly Serving Since 1915 on the tailgate, and TRAFFIC 29 across the cap glass.
